Being 100% natural seems to be all the marketing hype for skin care and make up. Research has shown that some of the "all natural" ingredients while being all natural are actually toxic to us. The National Ingredient Resource Center considers a product "all natural" if it contains at least 95% of ingredients fit their criteria for natural ingredients. The other 5% may come from ingredients other ingredients that do not contain synthetic fragrances, artificial colors or harmful fillers. Failure to include effective preservatives in a product can lead to health problems such as skin infection. Younique uses some synthetic non-toxic preservatives to ensure the products you use are safe for your skin. From Younique's point of view, it is more important for a product to be safe and non-toxic than a 100% all-natural and organic product that may contain an ingredient that is toxic.
