CINNAMON AND HONEY

HONEY is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot. It will do what some call turning to sugar... In reality honey is always honey.. However, when left in a cool dark place for a long time it will do what I call "crystallizing". When this happens, I loosen the lid, boil some water, and sit the honey container in the hot water, turn off the heat and let it liquefy. It is then as good as it ever was. Never boil honey or put it in a microwave. To do so will kill the enzymes in the honey.

Cinnamon and Honey
Bet the drug companies won't like this one getting around. Facts on Honey and Cinnamon: It is found that a mixture of honey and Cinnamon cures most diseases. Honey is produced in most of the countries of the world. Scientists of today also accept honey as a 'Ram Ban' (very effective) medicine for all kinds of diseases. Honey can be used without any side effects for any kind of diseases.

Today's science says that even though honey is sweet, if taken in the right dosage as a medicine, it does not harm diabetic patients. Weekly World News, a magazine in Canada , in its issue dated 17 January,1995, has given the following list of diseases that can be cured by honey and cinnamon as researched by western scientists:

HEART DISEASES:
Make a paste of honey and cinnamon powder, apply on bread, instead of jelly and jam, and eat it regularly for breakfast. It reduces the cholesterol in the arteries and saves the patient from heart attack. Also, those who have already had an attack, if they do this process daily, they are kept miles away from the next attack. Regular use of the above process relieves loss of breath and strengthens the heart beat. In America and Canada , various nursing homes have treated patients successfully and have found that as you age, the arteries and veins lose their flexibility and get clogged; honey and cinnamon revitalize the arteries and veins.

ARTHRITIS:
Arthritis patients may take daily, morning and night, one cup of hot water with two teaspoons of honey and one small teaspoon of cinnamon powder. If taken regularly even chronic arthritis can be cured. In a recent research conducted at the Copenhagen University, it was found that when the doctors treated their patients with a mixture of one tablespoon Honey and half teaspoon Cinnamon powder before breakfast, they found that within a week, out of the 200 people so treated, practically 73 patients were totally relieved of pain, and within a month, mostly all the patients who could not walk or move around because of arthritis started walking without pain.

BLADDER INFECTIONS:
Take two tablespoons of cinnamon powder and one teaspoon of honey in a glass of lukewarm water and drink it. It destroys the germs in the bladder.

CHOLESTEROL:
Two tablespoons of honey and three teaspoons of Cinnamon Powder mixed in 16 ounces of tea water, given to a cholesterol patient, was found to reduce the level of cholesterol in the blood by 10 percent within two hours As mentioned for arthritic patients, if taken three times a day, any chronic cholesterol is cured... According to information received in the said Journal, pure honey taken with food daily relieves complaints of cholesterol.

COLDS:
Those suffering from common or severe colds should take one tablespoon lukewarm honey with 1/4 spoon cinnamon powder daily for three days. This process will cure most chronic cough, cold, and clear the sinuses.

UPSET STOMACH:
Honey taken with cinnamon powder cures stomach ache and also clears stomach ulcers from the root.

GAS:
According to the studies done in India and Japan , it is revealed that if Honey is taken with cinnamon powder the stomach is relieved of gas.

IMMUNE SYSTEM:
Daily use of honey and cinnamon powder strengthens the immune system and protects the body from bacteria and viral attacks. Scientists have found that honey has various vitamins and iron in large amounts.. Constant use of Honey strengthens the white blood corpuscles to fight bacterial and viral diseases.

INDIGESTION:
Cinnamon powder sprinkled on two tablespoons of honey taken before food relieves acidity and digests the heaviest of meals

INFLUENZA:
A scientist in Spain has proved that honey contains a natural ' Ingredient' which kills the influenza germs and saves the patient from flu.

LONGEVITY:
Tea made with honey and cinnamon powder, when taken regularly, arrests the ravages of old age. Take four spoons of honey, one spoon of cinnamon powder, and three cups of water and bring to almost a boil to make like tea. Drink 1/4 cup, three to four times a day It keeps the skin fresh and soft and arrests old age. Life spans also increase and even a 100 year old, starts performing the chores of a 20-year-old. (My input here: hmmmm, I really wonder on this one)

PIMPLES:
Three tablespoons of honey and one teaspoon of cinnamon powder made into a paste. Apply this paste on the pimples before sleeping and wash it off next morning with warm water. If done daily for two weeks, it removes pimples from the root.

SKIN INFECTIONS:
Applying honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts on the affected parts cures eczema, ringworm and all types of skin infections.

WEIGHT LOSS:
Daily in the morning one half hour before breakfast on an empty stomach, and at night before sleeping, drink honey and cinnamon powder boiled in one cup of water. If taken regularly, it reduces the weight of even the most obese person. Also, drinking this mixture regularly does not allow the fat to accumulate in the body even though the person may eat a high calorie diet.

CANCER:
Recent research in Japan and Australia has revealed that advanced cancer of the stomach and bones have been cured successfully. Patients suffering from these kinds of cancer should daily take one tablespoon of honey with one teaspoon of cinnamon powder for one month three times a day.

FATIGUE:
Recent studies have shown that the sugar content of honey is more helpful rather than being detrimental to the strength of the body. Senior citizens, who take honey and cinnamon powder in equal parts, are more alert and flexible. Dr. Milton, who has done research, says that a half tablespoon of honey taken in a glass of water and sprinkled with cinnamon powder, taken daily after brushing your teeth and in the afternoon at about 3:00 P.M. when the vitality of the body starts to decrease, increases the vitality of the body within a week.

BAD BREATH:
People of South America , first thing in the morning, gargle with one teaspoon of honey and cinnamon powder mixed in hot water, so their breath stays fresh throughout the day.

HEARING LOSS:
Daily morning and night honey and cinnamon powder, taken in equal parts restores hearing. Remember when we were kids? We had toast with real butter and cinnamon sprinkled on it!

Okay friends, I don't endorse all of these "home remedies", but found them quite interesting AND I am definitely going to try a few. What can it hurt?  Here is one I personally have used with excellent results:

PINK EYE OR SWELLING IN THE EYE FROM WHATEVER:
Wash your hands well and then put some pure honey into the infected eye. Blink alot - it gets sticky and only slghtly stings at first. Do this twice a day. My eye felt better in one day and was totally gone (not the eye - the infection!) in a few days.

WHAT IF THERE ISN'T ANYMORE?

My Dad died three months ago today and this email just arrived today. The author is unknown, but because I believe in angels I know the timing was perfect for me to read this and pass it along.

One day a woman's husband died, and on that clear, cold morning, in the warmth of their bedroom, the wife was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't "anymore". No more hugs, no more special moments to celebrate together, no more phone calls just to chat, no more "just one minute." Sometimes, what we care about the most gets all used up and goes away, never to return before we can say good-bye, before we can say I love you or before we can say I care about you.

So while we have it, it's best we love it, care for it, fix it when it's broken and heal it when it's sick. This is true for marriage.....old cars... children with bad report cards...dogs with bad hips....aging parents and grandparents...and old friends. We keep them because they are worth it, because we are worth it.

Some things we keep -- like a best friend who moved away or a sister-in-law after divorce or that silly figurine... because there are just some things that make us happy, no matter what.

Life is important, like people we know who are special.. And so, we keep them close! Suppose one morning you never wake up...do your friends and family know you love them?

I was thinking...I could die today, tomorrow or next week, and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed, friendships that needed rekindling or three words needing to be said.. Afraid to use those three words...I love you? They don't mean commitment for life. They mean you care.

Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think they don't love you back, you would be amazed at what those three little words and a smile can do. So just in case I'm gone tomorrow....

I LOVE YOU!!!

What the heck is a Vision Board? - and - How can it CHANGE your Life?

Step One: Cut out pictures of things you love. Step Two: Paste them onto paper. Step Three: Realize your life's ambition.

Since childhood, I've had a vivid recurring dream in which I can move objects without touching them. When I awaken from the dream, I can't believe it isn't true. For hours I'll glare at objects—starting with cars or furniture, gradually lowering my sights to scraps of Kleenex—incredulous that I can't move stuff with my mind.  Except, that now I can. (Let me insert this NOW  - my thoughts will be put in italics- This article is taken from Oprah.com and written by Martha Beck.  I have done the same thing in visualizing things to move. Years ago I was able to make watches stop. I firmly believe in the power of the mind and believe that God gave us that power AND that we don't utilize it the way he intended. So, all that said - please read this really long article.)

A friend just gave me a gizmo called Mindflex, a game that includes a magnificently dorky-looking headset, a console, and a little foam ball. The headset transmits your brain's electrical activity to a fan in the console that blows the ball into the air. By thinking different thoughts, you control the fan, and thus the altitude of the ball.

The fact that this works delights, but doesn't surprise me. The discoveries of physicist Werner Heisenberg, not to mention my recurring dream, long ago convinced me that the mind influences physical matter. If Heisenberg's work is unfamiliar, let me translate the theory into English "Consciousness can shape reality."

This oversimplification makes my brain wince...which moves the Mindflex ball, confirming for me that the New Age ideal of mental magic—the notion that thoughts can create reality—is kinda, sorta supported by evidence. My goal is to teach you how to use one aspect of that magic, something indubitably cheesy but surprisingly effective. I'm talking about a vision board. (This New Age mental magic, in my belief, is nothing more than what God intended for our minds - to use it for Power and Faith and then to be blessed by God).

All the Pretty Pictures
Next to the Mindflex on my desk is a photo box containing many images I've torn from magazines. I plan to glue them all to one large piece of  art paper. The resulting collage will be a vision board; its purpose, to depict (and lead me to) my desired future. This whole process makes me roll my eyes—but damn if it doesn't work. Sometimes.

I've made several vision boards that bombed out, and some that were so successful that the hairs on the nape of my neck prickled for months. Years ago I glued up a headline that said MAKING AFRICA WELL. I thought it was a joke—oh, sure, like I could do that—never expecting that a few years later I'd be invited to speak in Africa and while there meet folks who are healing African ecosystems. Suddenly, I found myself volunteering to work with them.

(Ask me to tell you the story of my own personal vision about a lease purchase that went horribly bad and the loss of over $15,000....and how God got it back in a very New Age Mental Magic sort of way.)

I've discovered there's a trick to making a vision board that brings forth such improbable coincidences (or, if you believe in God - these are not coincidences but Faith in action.) It starts with avoiding common pitfalls that result in faulty, inoperative models. Many people hear the basic instructions—"Find pictures of things you want in your life and stick 'em where you can see 'em"—and create virtually identical collages: a wad of cash, a handsome husband, a gorgeous body, a luxury car, a tropical beach. (Personally, these don't sound so bad!!)

Snore. These images constitute our culture's idea of the good life. Even a rich, happily married beauty queen with a Porsche in the driveway and a house on the ocean will crank out this same vision board. This has no juice at all. To really work, a vision board has to come not from your culture but from your primordial, nonsocial self—the genetically unique animal/angel that contains your innate preferences.

When you start assembling pictures that appeal to this deep self, you unleash one of the most powerful forces on our planet: human imagination.(the power God gave us) Virtually everything humans use, do, or make exists because someone thought it up. Sparking your incredibly powerful creative faculty is the reason you make a vision board. The board itself doesn't impact reality; what changes your life is the process of creating the images—combinations of objects and events that will stick in your subconscious mind and steer your choices toward making the vision real.

Vision Board 101
I've known for some time that staring at objects while holding pictures in my head makes reality oddly responsive. I was persuaded of this by two events so striking and improbable that I'll describe them to you in some detail. Both occurred while I was illustrating a children's book, which was never published because: (1) My animal/angel didn't really want to create it; (2) I got tired after doing about 25 percent of the illustrations; and (3) the book basically sucked. (She and I are on the same wavelength here - I have a children's book all ready to be published. But, unlike her, I always wanted to create it, did create it, and it does not suck. The Underwater Dentist is just waiting for some angel to produce it.)

Anyway, one illustration I did finish depicted a startled elephant. I wanted to paint it from a child's perspective, with the pachyderm rearing back, lifting one front leg, raising its trunk, and opening its eyes and mouth in surprise. I had no photographs that showed this scenario, and it wasn't the easiest thing to imagine. So I went to a circus, found an elephant who seemed to be parked in neutral, crouched down in front of him, and squinted, imagining what he'd look like with his leg lifted and his trunk raised. The elephant looked back at me...and adopted precisely the pose I was picturing. He remained in this awkward position for several minutes as I scribbled a sketch.

Just days later, I was working on another illustration involving parrots (this children's book was set in post-genocide Cambodia—what fun for kids!). In the midst of my research, I learned to my surprise that there was a species of parrot indigenous to my own turf in Arizona. I stared at these parrots in my bird book, wishing that one day I could see a living specimen. At that moment, I swear to God, I heard a scratchy thump, and three rare parrots landed on the window screen less than a yard from my face.

That's when I began believing that animals respond to intense visual images held in the human imagination. So does my Mindflex, and perhaps even complex phenomena like one's love life or career. I also noticed that the mental state that produced the elephant and parrot miracles was very different from the hankering I directed at my usual goals. And I've come to realize that you need to get into that mind-space if you want your vision board to work for you like a short-order cook hopped up on Red Bull. Here's how to do it....

Step 1: Please Your Animal
There are two basic procedures involved in creating an effective vision board. First, instead of cogitating about familiar images, scout for the unfamiliar. Your mind can't do this. Your animal/angel self can. Just page through a magazine (and walk through the world) noticing things that trigger physical reactions: a heart thump, a double take, a gasp. The only responses involved should resemble these:

"Ooooh!"   "Aaaahhhhh."    "Whoa!"    "!!!!"    "????"

These "thoughts" register in your stomach, your heart, your lungs—anywhere but your head. You can't produce them in response to cultural clichés or abstract ideas. Nor can you always know why your body reacts to an image. Wondering, then finding out, is one of the most delicious things about assembling a vision board.

For example, as I rummage through my current collection of images, my body is utterly unmoved by photos of mansions or designer clothing. What interests it are pictures of an abstract sculpture, a dried leaf, and (overwhelmingly) a map on which the migratory route of the springbok antelope is shown in red. !!!! Go figure.

Though it makes no logical sense, I know from experience that gluing these pictures on one big page will begin catalyzing something beyond my mind's capacity to calculate or conceptualize. If you're not already accumulating images that rock your socks, stay alert. Whenever you find them, filch them.

Step 2: Let Go Mentally and Emotionally.

Most folks master Step 1 easily, gathering new and interesting images by the bushel. It's like making the Mindflex ball go up: You stare at the ball and picture it rising. Powered by the output of electricity from your brain, the fan starts to blow, et voilà! Up goes the ball. You do this with focused, intense thinking—something you're almost always engaged in.

Step 2 of making a vision board requires something trickier: not thinking. This is the counterintuitive process that makes the Mindflex ball descend. To do it you must relax completely and let your mind go blank. You don't concentrate on the result you want—i.e., the ball going down. In fact, you concentrate on not concentrating. Slowly the fan decreases speed and the ball begins to drop.

This is exactly what you should do once you've created a vision board. Stop thinking about it. Lose it. Recycle it. The biggest mistake aspiring reality creators make (aside from that predictable cash/tropical island collage) is continuing to push something they've already set in motion. You've felt the repellent energy of salespeople desperate to hook you—it makes you sprint away so fast, you cause sonic booms. Don't use that results-oriented energy.

Anecdotes about vision board success always include statements like "Then I forgot all about it until the very moment, years later, when I found myself standing on the Champs-Elysées, holding that exact plaid umbrella!" The key phrase is "forgot all about it." The purpose of the vision board is to focus your attention—briefly. After that, the less mental strain you feel, the sooner good things will happen. That initial intense focus helps us create "search images," and by relaxing, we increase our chances of noticing the things we seek. Then it's time for the trickiest step of all....

Step 3: Be Still and Still Moving
Making a vision board is not a substitute for elbow grease. Magical co-creator or not, you still have to do stuff. For example, I want to be better at social media—you know, all that Faceplace Twootle Googler stuff. So I put a headline on my vision board: SOCIAL MEDIA GENIUS. I tried reading blog posts and signing up for all sorts of new online accounts, but I was making zero progress. Two weeks later, I was working on my laptop in a bookstore when a man with a kind face asked me if I liked my computer. He turned out to be a social media specialist and an extremely nice guy, and I hired him to be my social media genius. He's brilliant, he's motivating, and he's kicking my ass, teaching me how to accomplish my goals. I wanted the Force to give me fish; instead, it sent an expert fisherman to teach me.

This is the zone of reality creation: regularly picturing delights that don't yet exist, emotionally detaching from them, and jumping into action when it's time to help the miracles occur. I'm barely learning this, to be (in T.S. Eliot's words) "still and still moving." But in the moments I get it right, every step I take seems to be matched by a universal mystery, which obligingly, incredibly, creates what I can't.

So that's my 411 on vision boards, but please, don't believe me. Try it yourself. Do it as a lark, a hobby, a physics experiment (though calling it that may cause Werner Heisenberg to spin in his grave like an Olympic ice dancer). So start oohing and aahing, cutting and gluing.

BEFORE AND AFTER

Before REVERSE After 8 weeks After 17 weeks - SEE PICTURE AT LEFT
This is from a Rodan and Fields Consultant and User:
I got engaged in September 2009 and didn't want to wear heavy make-up to conceal my really bad sun damage. I used Rodan + Fields REVERSE Regimen and ANTI-AGE Eye Cream, then added UNBLEMISH Regimen at night to treat hormonal acne.

In just 8 weeks, my skin becoming smoother, brighter and the sun damage began to disappear. I cannot believe my results after 4 short months using a simple routine. The best part is I don't need to wear foundation and my skin is amazing!

NO PAIN NO GAIN

More advice from Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields:

No Pain No Gain? yes and no. There are some in-office exfoliation procedures like chemical peels, micro-dermabrasion and lasers that yield excellent results but may require several days recovery time. At-home exfoliation products and procedures are less aggressive and, if done properly, should not result in any “down-time.”

If your attempts to “do-it yourself” cause redness, peeling, itching and scaling, SLOW DOWN. You may be overdoing it and breaking your skin’s protective barrier. Give your skin a rest and help it heal with a soothing moisturizer containing anti-inflammatory peptides or botanical ingredients. Also, don’t forget to apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen DAILY to protect your recovering skin.

So, here's the commercial - The Product SOOTHE #2 has the anti-inflammatory peptides and botanicals needed to soothe the skin. AND...the product SOOTHE #3 is the broad spectrum sunscreen.
Check the ingredients on what you are using now. If it doesn't have what the doctors say you need - switch!

ACIDS FOR THE SKIN

The info being shared is taken directly from Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields. I am not technical enough to even begin to share the below info. However, I do know what makes my skin feel good, look good and exfoliate. I also know that as we age, WE MUST EXFOLIATE THOSE DEAD SKIN CELLS that just hang around. So, bare wtih the medical jargon and read below.  Look at the products you are using. If the ingredients have what is listed - FANTASTIC. If not, and here is my commercial.....click on the link and order what you need. You deserve to look the best you can!

Hydroxy Acids

Hydroxy acids are chemical exfoliators that work by dissolving the adhesions between cells in the epidermis, allowing skin-dulling dead skin cells to easily slough off to promote cell renewal. There are three classes of hydroxy acids: alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) and poly hydroxy acids (PHAs).

AHAs: These exfoliators work on the top layer of the skin to help increase cell turnover. Commonly used AHAs include glycolic acid (derived from cane sugar) and lactic acid (derived from milk). Used in lower concentrations, AHAs are appropriate for home use; however, you may experience sensory irritation (stinging) when first using AHAs. By starting slowly, with intermittent use in the first couple of weeks, most people will find that their skin accommodates and the stinging greatly diminishes or disappears completely. Find lactic acid in Rodan + Fields REVERSE Deep Exfoliating Wash and REVERSE Skin Lightening Treatment, and glycolic acid in UNBLEMISH Clarifying Toner.

PHAs: This up-and-coming class of hydroxy acids may have varying benefits depending on the molecular configuration. PHAs include lactobionic acid and gluconolactone. Look for them in future Rodan + Fields products.

BHAs: Oil soluble, BHAs penetrate into the pore to help remove dead cells that build up and entrap acne-causing oil and bacteria. Salicylic acid is the only BHA and can be found in Rodan + Fields UNBLEMISH Spot Fading Toner.

HOUSE DUST IS NOT JUST DIRT

According to Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields: Dead skin cells account for 90% of house dust. Gross … but true. You shed approximately a million dead cells every 40 minutes. That adds up to 1.5 pounds a year!

As you age, your natural cell turnover rate slows down, taking twice as long to regenerate a new epidermis for a 50-year-old as compared with the time required for a 20-year-old.

So while you may have less house dust as you grow older, the build-up of dead, dull cells on your skin’s surface is hardly a worthwhile trade-off. So, exfoliate everyday; a little bit will go a long way toward keeping skin looking young and vibrant.

3 MISTAKES IN CLOSING

The 3 Most Common Mistakes In Closing  by Dani Johnson

This article applies to any type of sales, business building activity, whether you are getting new accounts, closing business deals, or making executive decisions. What I’m going to share with you is from years of hands on experience helping thousands of people dramatically increase their skills in the art of closing. Let there be no mistake, closing is an art that, when you get good at it, becomes fun and exciting as you see the tremendous impact you can have on the lives of ordinary people. Closing is the most critical make or break part of your process for building a successful business so let’s get started with the first mistake:

Mistake #1: Your Posture Weakens When It Comes Time To Ask The Closing Question.

Most of you successfully utilize scripts that you’ve either purchased from experts or received from leaders in your company. You use these scripts, your skills and your natural gifts to make great connection with prospects whether they are from warm, cold or lukewarm markets. You then successfully bring them to either a web presentation, live conference call, pre-recorded message, fax on demand, a live group or 1 on 1 presentation. Many of you, when it comes time to asking that first closing question, you buckle. You don’t even have the words out of your mouth and you’re shaking in your shoes.

In your mind, you’re already prepared for them to say “no”. You are absolutely afraid of rejection therefore you are provoking the prospect to walk all over you and drill you with questions. You’ve now lost control of the conversation because your tone is that of somebody who is terrified, unsure or just assuming that they won’t enroll in your program.

The closing game is all about posture and posture is authority. Whoever has the strongest posture will win. Many of us feel that we don’t know how to speak with posture. If you have kids, then you already know how to speak with authority. Picture yourself directing your kids to clean their room. That is the same place of authority that you need to come from with your prospects. When it comes time to read the closing script, you must carry the authority of a business developer waiting to see if this is the person you want to work with or not? Does he/she have eyes to see or is he/she blind as a bat?

Mistake #2: You Talk Too Much And Keep Selling.

The business presentation is over and you turn to your prospect and say, “This is such a great company with the most cutting edge products and you (the prospect) are blessed to be at the right place at the right time. With your talent and skill, you can make a lot of money!” No matter how smart you think you are or how much credibility you think you have, here is the sobering fact. The prospect can care less about your opinion because you are already involved with the company. If you want to be a professional, you have to learn how to get the prospect to talk themselves into closing the business deal.

Mistake #3: You Don’t Know What To Say

When you don’t know what to say, here’s what usually comes out of your mouth after the business presentation, “So, what do you think?” They think the sky is blue. They think the kids need to be put to bed. They think they’ll call you tomorrow. It’s your job to control what your prospect is thinking. You want them thinking about what hit them during the business presentation. You want them thinking about what their life will be like ten years from now if they don’t make a decision to do something. Your script needs to ask the questions that matter most to the prospect addressing their needs and goals. They should not be thinking about the products or the compensation. The prospect should be thinking about what he is going to do with his life starting today. Many of you don’t know what to say so you ask a yes or no question like, “Do you want to get started today?” Most of the time, your prospect says “No” and it’s over right there.

There are 2 very important keys to asking the closing question:

A) You have something strategic to say that will get a strategic result.

B) You must say something that is duplicatable.

The prospect is going through the psychological process in his mind of asking themselves, “Is it simple, does it work and can I do it?” Think about it, if you are really slick and articulate the prospect is looking at you thinking, “He’s really good. I don’t think I can be that good.” Or “It seems like you have to know a lot. I don’t have the time to learn all that.” The end result is the prospect thinking, “I don’t think I can do this.” You don’t want to depend on your good looks, your dynamic personality or your favor from God to become a good closer. Why? Because you are not duplicatable. What is duplicatable is people reading a script. This is really going to tweak some of you.

NOTES FROM A NEW BLOG BY DRS RODAN AND FIELDS AND NURSE MARY

Follow this new blog at www.dermrf.com
Following is the first postings:
By Nurse Mary Radford, Director of the RF Connection

1. What UNBLEMISH toner is right for me?

We designed UNBLEMISH to treat the entire acne cycle. For a significant number of acne sufferers, this includes PIH, the remnant brown marks that remain after a blemish has healed. If you are in this majority, use UNBLEMISH Spot Fading Toner to lighten these souvenirs. If you are one of the lucky few who does not battle with PIH, use UNBLEMISH Clarifying Toner. Both toners unclog pores, calm skin, and prepare it for the treatments that follow

2. I’m using the UNBLEMISH Regimen and my skin has become dry. Should I use it less frequently?

This usually means that the medicines are doing a great job of clearing pores and renewing the skin to reduce blemishes. You simply need to moisturize the skin between the pores. Rodan + Fields Dermatologists skincare offers products that hydrate skin without clogging pores. Continue to use the UNBLEMISH Regimen as directed and layer your moisturizer of choice over the Dual Intensive Acne Treatment twice daily.

If you are under 20; we recommend the ESSENTIALS Moisturize with Melaslow. If you are 20 or over we offer ANTI-AGE Skin Protectant SPF 15 Sunscreen or Night Recovery Cream.

TRAINING - ARM YOUR NEW DISTRIBUTORS FOR SUCCESS

Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing, end them. - William Shakespeare, Hamlet, Act III, Scene i (58-90)

Hamlet may not have been talking about network marketing, but his words do apply. Almost every network marketer has experienced the slings and arrows of the naysayers, those often well-meaning friends and relatives that stand in the way of our making an outrageous fortune! Experienced network marketers, clothed in the armor of past success, are less vulnerable to outside influences. The new distributor, however, is vulnerable, and that sea of troubles can act as a barrier to reaching their true potential.

What did the knights of old do to prevent an injury? That s right they armed themselves. Their armor was heavy and cumbersome, and they needed a squire to help them prepare for battle. Well, the same is true for your new distributors. While the armor they must use is less cumbersome than that of the knights, you must help them arm themselves for success. In other words, you must be their squire.

What do I mean by arming for success?

When a new distributor joins your network marketing organization, they are moving into an environment that demands strong armor. There are a lot of slings and arrows that can hurt their chances for success and create a sea of troubles -- of doubt, disbelief, even failure.

As Rich Dad, Poor Dad author Robert T. Kiyosaki points out, most people in this world are afraid to experience success. They are held back by negative thinking, and consequently suffer the pain of mediocrity. Because they have not been armed for success, and are more focused on security and survival, they subject themselves to a life of servitude and poverty and being someone else s employee.

Arm your new distributors from negative thinking and potential disaster. How? By understanding why so many people are negative about network marketing and the prospects of the success it can bring.

Let s face it. There are a lot of people out there that do not want you to become successful. When you are successful, you point out the lack of success in their lives. When you take away any excuses they ve been hanging onto and you force them to look at their lives as they really are, it makes them very uncomfortable. You ve heard of the expression Misery loves company. Well, it s true.

Doug Firebaugh, network marketing guru, calls it the "Unspoken Understanding," which is simply the silent agreement that most people have with each other, namely don't mention my mediocre life, and I won't mention yours. Your success and the success of your new distributors, just points out the naysayers mediocrity.

Leaders help others. If you are going to be successful in network marketing, you must arm your new distributors against people who will try to convince them their business won't work. Show your downline you want them to be successful. Encourage them. Show them how the most successful network marketers have achieved their success, and teach them to model those attitudes, habits, and actions. Remind your distributors that they are the CEO of their lives. Arm them with the power of positive thinking so they don t let others live their lives for them with their negative attitudes.

To paraphrase Hamlet, by opposing negative thoughts, we end them.

AFTER 5 MONTHS

If you look below, the first photo of me was on Sept 7, 2009. This one (to the left) is 5 months later (Feb 4, 2010). I am only wearing Rodan and Fields Peptide powder and eye makeup (OMG - who goes out without eye makeup!). I look at the before picture and the NOW picture and am personally amazed. The changes in the cellular structure of my skin are so apparent. How everyone that reads this cannot at least TRY the products for 60 days is beyond my comprehension.

I was content with my skin and my aging face. CONTENT. I would shop for the newest anti-aging potion to be advertised - try it - and then switch to the next new thing.  No longer - in fact I don't even have makeup in the house.  Someone who didn't know me said my skin looked luminous!  Another lady just recently looked at my skin from several angles - in the sun - and then touching her own face told me it was amazing how alive my skin looked.

What is even more amazing is that these changes have taken place IN THE WINTER. I am asking you to PROVE ME WRONG - Order some REVERSE and UNBLEMISH, take a picture, then come see me in 60 days. These products are guaranteed to make a change in 60 days - if not - you get your money back!

FOR THE FIRST THREE PEOPLE TO TAKE UP MY CHALLENGE - I will give you - FREE - a copy of the Doctors Top Selling Book - IF YOU USE THE PRODUCT FOR 60 DAYS.  And, if you don't like what it does for your skin - return the bottles - get your money back - AND KEEP THE BOOK FREE.

Be sure to contact me and let me know you are ordering as this is ONLY for the first THREE people to order off my website.

Contact me and let's talk skin.

DAY 3 OF 21 - SETTING AND ACHIEVING GOALS

The dictionary defines a goal as the end toward which effort is directed. Most people are turned off by the thought of effort. Goal setting then usually gets put off or put aside for a future time. Goal setting gives direction to your life. Setting a goal is like having a pesonal road map to guide you daily. You should no more take chances on conducting your life without direction than you would consider taking a trip without a map or Google directions.

In everything I have ever read and every seminar I have attended, one theme is constant: all successful people - the world's top achievers, the real movers and shakers - are goal setters. AND, they WRITE THEM DOWN. So, it seems to me that to be successful, an achiever, one needs to not only set goals but write them down. Goals are personal and uniquely yours. If you are not convinced about the benefits of goal setting, let me ask you this: If you don't know what you want from life and therefore don't set goals for your future, what do you think you will get? Where will you end up?  You will drift through life like a ship without a rudder. You'll find yourself at the end of your life wondering what happened to your goals and dreams for you and your family? What happened to the fun you were going to have?

Sidney J Harris has said: Regret for things we have done can be tempered with time, it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable.

There are many ways to approach goal setting, this one is called PERSONAL POWER PLAN.  Get a pad of paper and pen - a pad large enough to contain all your notes, yet one that will fit in a file folder. Divide your goals into six categories: mental, physical, spiritual, relationships, career-professional, and financial.

Mental - education of any kind, reading, writing, planning , thinking and self-improvement.

Physical - health, nutrition, exercise, self image and appearance.

Spiritual - your personal philosophy, morals, ethics and values; meditation and prayer.

Relationships  - your family and partner, your social life and community relationships.

Career-professional - job oriented skills - degrees, titles, licenses;  business ownership.

Financial - your savings, investments, retirement plans; your child's education, personal security and long term health requirements.

Now take 6 sheets of paper and write one of the above categories at the top of each paper. Now list each and every wish or dream or desire or goal pertaining to that category. Don't limit yourself - list things as if a perfect world exists.  Now it is time to translate these things into an affirmative manner.

And remember: Regret for things we have done can be tempered with time, it is regret for the things we did not do that is inconsolable.

They must be stated as if the result were an actuality.
Goals must be definite, not vague.
A feeling of gratitude, appreciation, or thankfulness must be present.
Experience the feeling or emotion accompanying the expected result.

Now you must follow through. Writing your goals down is only the beginning. As Webster said - ...the end toward which effort is directed.
1. Determine the specific date or time frame for accomplishment.
2. Decide the steps you need to take toward accomplishment.
3. Plan your work and work your plan for accomplishing your goal.
4. Put all this in writing too.
5. Review this daily - make a daily list of mini-to do's.

The most important thing to utilize in your goal setting efforts is your power of belief. Just like the Bible says - "if you can believe, all things are possible".

DAY 2 of 21 - EXPERIENCE THE EXCITEMENT OF ENTHUSIASM

You will do foolish things, but do them with enthusiasm.  Collette

Enthusiasm is the spice of life, the quality that delivers excitement to every pore of your being. Enthusiasm is like the key to your car's ignition. Just like your car requires a key to start the engine, you require enthusiasm in order to function above and beyond the norm. Sometimes your car needs a little boost. So, too, do we often need a boost. Our boost is excitement. Excitement and Enthusiasm go together.

But, how do we add it? We need to turn to the  universal laws we explored yesterday. They apply to all things. They apply to our enthusiasm, excitement and energy. When we look at the Law of Substitution, we will see that we have to substitute the negative and unenthusiastic thoughts with energetic and positive thoughts.  You may hate to clean the house, but it has to be done sometime. If you substitute "I love a clean house and I feel really good when things are neat, clean and orderly" for hating to clean the house, you will actually feel the emotion that a clean orderly house will bring.

You must surround yourself with people who are doing things and who are excited about what they are doing. Stay away from those who will bring you and your performance down by their negativity.

Three rules for enthusiasm, excitement and renewed energy:
1. Every day when you wake up - before you get out of bed - say to yourself "This is a great day! Good things are going to happen to me today!" Regardless of the weather or your personal circumstances or any outside influence - start your day with a positive attitude.

2. Act as if this were the big day you have been waiting for. A day of sunshine and smiles. The first day of the rest of your life.

3. Believe that your thoughts, choices and decisions made on this day will be the right ones. Give thanks for the day. Psalm 118:24 says - This is the day which the Lord has made - rejoice and be happy in it. You must believe. And, if you believe, your day will be magnificent.

Wake up tomorrow and have a really great day!

21 WAYS....your three powers

This 21 day series is being taken from the book " Putting the Positive Thinker to Work" by Alice Potter. There might be some paraphrasing, but for the most part it is from her book.

Welcome to the world of 21! If you stick with me in this blog for 21 days, you will be embarking on an adventure that can - i f you let it - be exciting and rewarding. The number 21 has always been a significant one. You become an adult at 21. You are able to drink, drive, and sign your name. It's the dividing line between growing up and being grown. In the world of chance, the game of black jack is the winning number. Then there is the 21-gun salute. And, they say it takes 21 days to develop a new habit. So, let's start our 21 days.

You are unique, special and wonderful. You are unlike any other living soul on this planet. You have abilities, capabilities and powers you have never known existed. You have potential. You possess three fabulous powers - powers that may have been dormant or rarely used until now.
1. The power of thought. The power that no one else can control but you.
2. The power of choice. The power that no one else can control.
3. The power of decision. The power that no one else can control.

You have been gifted with these awesome powers, but over all three, you have been given total and complete control. When you properly control these God-given powers you will have complete control over your life and that happens in it. Many people will say that something that happened was God's will. Forget that! It was God's will to give you the power of choice. If you messed things up by your wrong or inappropriate choices, be gracious enough to accept the blame, knowing that you now have the power to change things. You can turn your life around because you now understand the power of choice.

You come to a fork in the road, you have to choose one way or another. You may confer with others, but ultimately it your power of decision. Your life up til now is a direct result of your utilizing your three powers. Once you understand and accept that YOU are in control of your life - it is liberating.

Postive thoughts brighten our day, increase our enthusiasm, keep us young (!), maximize our health and improve our skills. We must eliminate negative thoughts and reprogram our thoughts with self-chosen positive thoughts. Your attitude is the "you" you present to the world. If you present a negative attitude, you will never succeed, you will never attain your goals, you will never create lasting friendships. You will never be happy.
You can do this - you and you alone are in control of your thoughts, choices and decisions. Constantly clear your mental house. Stop - Halt negativity. Replace it with a positive thought. Do this for 21 days - every day.

HOLIDAY WOES AND HOLIDAY LOVE

This has been one of my most interesting holiday seasons. We went to Canada to visit our son and daughter in law, plus their two children - my fabulous grandchildren. One is two years old and the new one is our granddaughter born Dec 9th. How fab is that!!! The trip has been fabulous - I love being a grandmother.
While here I have had a gall bladder attack to end all attacks. I spent two separate days in the hospital. Thank God for demerol and some other shot they gave me. Surgery in the States would have been immediate, but here in Canada it's not that way. Then, the day I got to Canada someone hacked into my email accounts and Facebook accounts. As many of you know, an email was sent to all my contacts saying I was mugged in London and needed money. I eventually got back my two email accounts, this blog, my photography site (what? you haven't looked at it yet? http://www.judithmariephotography.com/) , but still I have no Facebook. However, they wiped out all my contacts and my feeble brain has a hard time remembering all your email addresses. So, if you are reading this and have not gotten an email from me recently, please send me an email so I can be back in touch with you.

The weather here in New Brunswick has been brutal. Cold blustery winds - like pictured in Winnie The Pooh, and snow snow snow. My skin would normally be taking a beating - but - yes, here comes the commercial - I have been slathering on my Rodan and Fields creams and my skin has stayed wonderful.

If I am able to download or upload a picture - you will see the Holiday Love in my new granddaughter.
2010 is the dawn of a new decade and the dawn of a new me. I have some resolutions that will make a difference in my life in 2010 and some of these resolutions will make a difference in YOUR life - if you jump on board.

My Holiday best to all of you - whatever holiday you are celebrating.....
