BEFORE AND AFTER

Before REVERSE After 8 weeks After 17 weeks - SEE PICTURE AT LEFT
This is from a Rodan and Fields Consultant and User:
I got engaged in September 2009 and didn't want to wear heavy make-up to conceal my really bad sun damage. I used Rodan + Fields REVERSE Regimen and ANTI-AGE Eye Cream, then added UNBLEMISH Regimen at night to treat hormonal acne.

In just 8 weeks, my skin becoming smoother, brighter and the sun damage began to disappear. I cannot believe my results after 4 short months using a simple routine. The best part is I don't need to wear foundation and my skin is amazing!

NO PAIN NO GAIN

More advice from Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields:

No Pain No Gain? yes and no. There are some in-office exfoliation procedures like chemical peels, micro-dermabrasion and lasers that yield excellent results but may require several days recovery time. At-home exfoliation products and procedures are less aggressive and, if done properly, should not result in any “down-time.”

If your attempts to “do-it yourself” cause redness, peeling, itching and scaling, SLOW DOWN. You may be overdoing it and breaking your skin’s protective barrier. Give your skin a rest and help it heal with a soothing moisturizer containing anti-inflammatory peptides or botanical ingredients. Also, don’t forget to apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen DAILY to protect your recovering skin.

So, here's the commercial - The Product SOOTHE #2 has the anti-inflammatory peptides and botanicals needed to soothe the skin. AND...the product SOOTHE #3 is the broad spectrum sunscreen.
Check the ingredients on what you are using now. If it doesn't have what the doctors say you need - switch!

ACIDS FOR THE SKIN

The info being shared is taken directly from Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields. I am not technical enough to even begin to share the below info. However, I do know what makes my skin feel good, look good and exfoliate. I also know that as we age, WE MUST EXFOLIATE THOSE DEAD SKIN CELLS that just hang around. So, bare wtih the medical jargon and read below.  Look at the products you are using. If the ingredients have what is listed - FANTASTIC. If not, and here is my commercial.....click on the link and order what you need. You deserve to look the best you can!

Hydroxy Acids

Hydroxy acids are chemical exfoliators that work by dissolving the adhesions between cells in the epidermis, allowing skin-dulling dead skin cells to easily slough off to promote cell renewal. There are three classes of hydroxy acids: alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs), beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) and poly hydroxy acids (PHAs).

AHAs: These exfoliators work on the top layer of the skin to help increase cell turnover. Commonly used AHAs include glycolic acid (derived from cane sugar) and lactic acid (derived from milk). Used in lower concentrations, AHAs are appropriate for home use; however, you may experience sensory irritation (stinging) when first using AHAs. By starting slowly, with intermittent use in the first couple of weeks, most people will find that their skin accommodates and the stinging greatly diminishes or disappears completely. Find lactic acid in Rodan + Fields REVERSE Deep Exfoliating Wash and REVERSE Skin Lightening Treatment, and glycolic acid in UNBLEMISH Clarifying Toner.

PHAs: This up-and-coming class of hydroxy acids may have varying benefits depending on the molecular configuration. PHAs include lactobionic acid and gluconolactone. Look for them in future Rodan + Fields products.

BHAs: Oil soluble, BHAs penetrate into the pore to help remove dead cells that build up and entrap acne-causing oil and bacteria. Salicylic acid is the only BHA and can be found in Rodan + Fields UNBLEMISH Spot Fading Toner.

HOUSE DUST IS NOT JUST DIRT

According to Dr. Rodan and Dr. Fields: Dead skin cells account for 90% of house dust. Gross … but true. You shed approximately a million dead cells every 40 minutes. That adds up to 1.5 pounds a year!

As you age, your natural cell turnover rate slows down, taking twice as long to regenerate a new epidermis for a 50-year-old as compared with the time required for a 20-year-old.

So while you may have less house dust as you grow older, the build-up of dead, dull cells on your skin’s surface is hardly a worthwhile trade-off. So, exfoliate everyday; a little bit will go a long way toward keeping skin looking young and vibrant.
