Get completely clear about your objective. If all you have is a vague idea, then work on fleshing it out so it becomes detailed and specific. Act now. Opportunities do not wait for conditions to be perfect.


Persist in your efforts. Make all of your work count for something by seeing it through to the finish.

Be thankful for the challenges and enjoy working through them. For they are where the real value is created.

Connect your goal to a meaningful purpose. When you're clear about why, you'll surely be able to take care of how.

TIP #19 - IN A RECRUITING SLUMP? GRAB A LADDER.

I hope you are having an awesome, fantastic, amazing day!Remember that no matter how bad anything might seem in your life there are always people who are far less fortunate than you. Always count your blessings!

If your success in network marketing is not coming at the pace you hoped, remember one thing. The only way you can fail in this industry is if you give up. Every day you are growing and learning and discovering the leader in you.

With all the hype and craziness in this industry we often forget the power of what can happen in a 5 year period. So many people are so focused on making something happen overnight that they lose their momentum when it doesn't happen fast enough for you.  I have some good news for you that just might help you to see the bigger picture here and realize the opportunity at hand!

Someone took the time to show me this and it changed my whole mindset. Let's call this the 5 year plan...
I want you to think about working for yourself...you have 1 person responsible for your income and there is no leverage in that.

Let's say that after a year in MLM you show a bunch of people your opportunity and only 5 people really get it. Now at the end of one year you have 5 people responsible for your income rather than just 1! Let's say those 5 go on to find 5 that "get it" by the end of the 2nd year..you now have 25 people responsible for your
income.Let's continue this over a 5 year period and see what happens..see the diagram below

Years Working for yourself Building an MLM business...Number of people responsible for your income if you just get 5 people the 1st year and those people get 5, etc, so on and so on:


1...  5

2 ... 25

3... 125

4...  625

5....  3125 people responsible for your income!!!!

So after 5 years you would have over 3,000 people responsible for your income rather than 1 person! This can easily mean a residual income of $15,000 a month which will keep coming in even if you go sit on
the beach! Not a bad deal considering most people will still have 1person responsible for their income after 5 years.

When you look at it this way you realize that you are just looking for a few key players each year. This is why prospecting and recruiting is key in building a large organization. One of the most effective ways to work through your numbers to get to the really serious people is by creating an effective marketing funnel system on the Internet.

You will be able to leverage your time and expose large volumes of people to your business day in and day out and only end up  talking to the serious people and the action takers.

Bottom line - grab a ladder - climb out of that slump and make a 5 year plan.

60 DAYS - MY NAKED FACE

The picture entitled My Naked Face shows me 60 days using the Rodan and Fields regimens with ONLY peptide powder on my face (in fact if you look real close you can see that I didn't apply it very well. TIP #18 - HOW TO BE A GOOD FACEBOOK SOCIAL NETWORKER

These notes are taken from a webinar presented by Doug Firebaugh - a genius in networking with a few of my own thrown in. Face it, whether you are in business or not, you network. Getting together with your friends for coffee, a drink, to shop, to shoot pool or watch a football game, are all examples of networking. Do you ever tell your friends about a great movie, a restaurant that opened, sales somewhere? This is network marketing at its best - giving a personal referral about something. So, here we go - How to be a Good Facebook Social Networker - basically - how to be a good friend on facebook.

I have to confess and give credit where credit is due. My daughter, Shannon Rudderham Kemp, taught me how to get on Facebook and was very patient with me while I learned the difference between a Wall, Home, Message, Share, Link, privacy, etc etc. I still ask her things.  Since then I have grabbed onto FB and now could almost be called a nerd. Yet, I feel like I am still on the edge of what there is to learn about communicating thru social networking... globally. Our world is changing fast - get with the changes or be left with your pencil and eraser and stamps. Off the soapbox and onto today's post.

1. Go on Facebook daily - what kind of friend are you if you don't talk with your friends.
2. Study your Home Page  - comment on everything, look at your requests and act on them.
Click between Status Updates and News Feeds - News Feeds happen more often than Status Updates.
3. Your Profile - click on this and then on WALL. Look at all the comments and what your friends have done - comment on your friends activity and comments.
4. Look for New Friends - look at your current friends list of friends - add some you know or want to  know. Go to the Search box in the upper right and put in someone's name. And, answer your Friend Requests and then thank them for "friending" you.
5. Join Groups. Same Search box - put in something you are interested in and then click on a few - find some groups to join. This is a great way to make new friends.
6. Your Personal Info - add to it, write stuff, add pictures. Face it - we are on Facebook to be seen, tell about ourselves, to learn about others. It is a fabulous social medium.
7. Watch what you say. So many people use FB to air their differences, comment negatively on things, and even tear someone else down. C'mon people, we are all adults. This world has enough places for all that petty stuff. Help keep FaceBook a fun interesting and learning place. If you need to send a message to someone - privately - click under their picture on Send a Message. It goes to their inbox. What you send and what they reply thru the inbox is Private just between the two of you.
8. Notifications - bottom right is a small TV screen with a red number- click it. The word Notifications will come up and under it are all the communications in a nutshell. click on See All and you can click on them and comment. You can set your notifications to what you want to see.
9. Give Value to your friends on FaceBook. Make them laugh, let them cry with you, honor people, help new people, share. tell about your business, find new business partners, sell and promote, the list of positive things you can do on FaceBook is endless.

TIP #17 - SOCIAL NETWORKING ON FACEBOOK

I listened to a webinar hosted by Doug Firebaugh - a genius with social networking.(passionfire.com) The next few posts will be a summary of what I learned.  He currently is maxed on the number of friends he can have on Facebook, but google him to see what he has to offer. Hopefully, this will help some of you in your business - or maybe you will want to be a part of my team on Rodan and Fields. Yep - had to get that little commercial in. LOL.

First you must remember that in Network Marketing - the work networking comes BEFORE Marketing. In previous posts you can find some notes about getting to know people before you pitch them. In Social Networking, please please remember social networking is all about getting to know each other. Whether you ever "pitch" your FB friends or not, they all have value and they all are part of your new social nework.

There are currently over 200 million users on Facebook - worldwide. Our accounts are capped at 5,000 friends. This is a huge pool of people. Your account may be capped at 5,000, but multiply that by all your friends and you can see that you have joined a very large social network!

The secret to recruiting on FB is to NOT recruit. Say what? That's right. FB is about relationship building. Find new friends and let them help you in whatever way is most comfortable for them. And the reverse is important as well - help your friends. If they are in business for themselves, promote their business. You never  know when you need a good plumber, handyman, photographer (hint hint - that's ME!), car repair, or even interact to find a good restaurant or boutique.  Help your friends. They will in turn help you. Look for helpers.

Personally, I have found some new friends on FB and have been able to reconnect with some old friends. Connect with people on FB. Look at their profile - it was put there as a window to their soul. Converse with your friends. Don't only post a business commercial (more on that in another post), but be interested in them.
Be a friend they value. Look at how you can pour into their lives and change their lives with your friendship.

TIP #16 - PAY ATTENTION TO LIFE

A big part of achieving success is simply paying attention. Life has so very much to tell you when you take the time to listen. The natural reaction to pain is to resent it and to get away from it as quickly as possible. Yet when you pay close attention, there is wisdom and value to be found in even the most painful, unpleasant experiences.

As you go through each day, your mind is filled with all sorts of things that you're thinking and saying to yourself. Choose to regularly quiet those thoughts, to just listen, to look, to pay attention. Pay attention and you'll discover incredible opportunities in even the most mundane circumstances.

Pay attention to the way the world works and you'll find powerful strategies for improving your own performance. Pay attention and it can quickly bring great value, wisdom and effectiveness into every corner of your life.

TIP #15 - APPLAUSE PLEASE

Any endeavor may be tough in the beginning. Accept this. You must believe in yourself. Initially, critics may feel free to ridicule your ideas and goals as foolish and unrealistic. When you ultimately succeed, everyone will claim to have been on your team from the beginning. Take action and persist. Applaud those who try, because the first step is often the toughest. Applaud the newcomer.

Yes, this is probably one of my shortest posts, but a much needed one. If you are in network marketing, you know the value of prospecting and then signing someone onto your team. This new consultant is a newbie and starting any endeavor is hard. They need your help, guidance, mentoring and support. Help them persist. This is their first day and the good news is - there will never be another first day. Applaud the newcomer.

TAKE ACTION OR FEAR RISK?

This past week has been one of those week's where life just got in the way of living. Ever had one of those weeks? You realize that a time comes when you must act. If you hesitate too long, doubts will linger and turn into fears. Yes. you may stumble. Yes, you may be rejected. yes, you may fail. This is life. Life's winners accept that in trying they may have to adjust and even start again and again. The difference between successful people and others is not whether you make mistakes or temporarily fail, but how you respond.

Many people look for guarantees before taking independent action, which easily turn into excuses for inaction. Be ready. There is no better time to start taking positive action than right now!

TIP #14 - GRAB TODAY

No matter what you do, or what you fail to do, the moments of this day will pass at a steady and unrelenting pace. Today will move right along, and there's no way you can stop it or hold on to it. 46 DAYS - MY NAKED FACE

If nothing else, this company is bringing back the bold Judith I used to know! It is taking more guts than you know to show my face - naked - no concealers, no foundation -just some eye makeup and lip glass. I know, I know, "you should wear concealers and foundation!". He got down on the floor on his hands and knees to look for it. About that time the family dog came and cold-nosed him on the behind. He thought the snake had bitten him, so he screamed and fell over on the floor.

His wife thought he had a heart attack, so she covered him up, told him to lie still and called an ambulance. The attendants rushed in, wouldn't listen to his protests and loaded him on the stretcher and started carrying him out.

About that time the snake came out from under the sofa and the Emergency Medical Technician saw it and dropped his end of the stretcher. That's when the man broke his leg and why he is still in the hospital.

The wife still had the problem of the snake in the house, so she called on a neighbor. He volunteered to capture the snake. He armed himself with a rolled-up newspaper and began poking under the couch. Soon he decided it was gone and told the woman, who sat down on the sofa in relief. But while relaxing, her hand dangled in between the cushions, where she felt the snake wriggling around. She screamed and fainted, the snake rushed back under the sofa. The neighbor man, seeing her lying there passed out, tried to use CPR to revive her.

The neighbor's wife, who had just returned from shopping at the grocery store, saw her husband's mouth on the woman's mouth and slammed her husband in the back of the head with a bag of canned goods, knocking him out and cutting his scalp to a point where it needed stitches.

The noise woke the woman from her dead faint and she saw her neighbor lying on the floor with his wife bending over him, so she assumed that he had been bitten by the snake. She went to the kitchen and got a small bottle of whiskey, and began pouring it down the man's throat.

By now the police had arrived. They saw the unconscious man, smelled the whiskey, and assumed that a drunken fight had occurred. They were about to arrest them all, when the women tried to explain how it all happened over a little green snake.

The police called an ambulance, which took away the neighbor and his sobbing wife. The little snake again crawled out from under the sofa. One of the policemen drew his gun and fired at it.

He missed the snake and hit the leg of the end table. The table fell over and the lamp on it shattered and as the bulb broke it started a fire in the drapes. The other policeman tried to beat out the flames, and fell through the window into the yard on top of the family dog who, startled, jumped out and raced into the street, where an oncoming car swerved to avoid it and smashed into the parked police car.

Meanwhile, the burning drapes were seen by the neighbors who called the fire department. The firemen had started raising the fire truck ladder when they were halfway down the street. The rising ladder tore out the overhead wires and put out the electricity and disconnected the telephones in a ten-square city block area (but they did get the house fire out).

Time passed! Both men were discharged from the hospital, the house was repaired, the dog came home, the police acquired a new car, and all was right with their world.

A while later they were watching TV and the weatherman announced a cold snap for that night. The wife asked her husband if he thought they should bring in their plants for the night. That's when he shot her.
